“ When I transferred to New York City in 2004, I was joining the Second Avenue Subway Preliminary Design team. Not knowing the full history of the line then, and in a Second Avenue fashion, the project went on hold for a short while after the completion of Preliminary Design. A few years later, Phase 1 which was the final design and construction of the 63rd Street, 72nd Street, 86th Street and 96th Street stations came back on; I was part of the 96th St Station Mechanical team. If you know the history of this project, you'd understand my joy or giddiness of being able to see Phase 1 completed in 2017, up and running (nearly a century later). I am very excited to have been part of that piece of NYC history.”
